MARKETING STRATEGY – SWOT Analysis

A SWOT analysis is method for evaluating your position in your marketplace and can help you to focus your messaging while you get a sense of where you fit relative to your competitors.  SWOT is an acronym for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats.  A SWOT analysis can be performed at a company, product or deal level to help you develop a winning strategy.

A SWOT analysis must first start with defining a desired end state or objective.

  • Strengths: characteristics of the business or team that give it an advantage over others in the industry.
  • Weaknesses: are characteristics that place the firm at a disadvantage relative to others.
  • Opportunities: external chances to make greater sales or profits in the environment.
  • Threats: external elements in the environment that could cause trouble for the business.

We can facilitate a SWOT analysis that will help you to identify and articulate your position within your marketplace and prioritize your actions going forward.
